Karen A. Stanek
About Karen Stanek
Karen Stanek MD, Ph D is the founder of Northwest Medical Rehabilitation. She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Her subspecialties include traumatic brain injury, spasticity management (Baclofen pumps and Botox injections) and Hyperbarics. She was named one of the outstanding doctors in Spokane in 2012, 2011, and 2010. She also has served on the Spokane Chapter BIAW Board for many years. She is the Medical Director of the Spokane Hyperbaric Center. Dr. Stanek completed medical school at the University of Mississippi and residency at the University of Colorado. She served as Medical Director of St Luke’s in 1992-1993. She has privileges at all the local hospitals and serves as adjunct faculty at Pacific Northwest of University Health Sciences.
Drew A. Johnson
About Drew Johnson
Drew is a board-certified physician assistant with 40 years of expertise across multiple areas of medical and surgical patient care. Working with Dr Karen Stanek MD PhD at Northwest Medical Rehabilitation in Spokane, WA, he administers neurotoxin injections for chronic spasticity, dystonia, and migraine headaches. In April of 2019, Drew became a member of the ISSCA (International Society for Stem Cell Application).
Drew graduated from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1979. Over the next 40 years he gained expertise assisting in all areas of surgery, specializing in adult and pediatric open-heart surgery and neuro-spinal surgery.
